Rotation and deformation of strangeon stars in the Lennard-Jones model

The strong interactions at low energy scales determine the state of supranuclear matter in pulsar-like compact objects. It is proposed that bulk could be composed strangeons, which are quark clusters with a nearly equal number three light-flavor quarks. In this work, to characterize strong-repulsive short distances and non-relativistic nature Lennard-Jones model used describe equation (EoS) strangeon stars (SSs). We investigate static, slowly rotating, tidally deformed SSs detail. corrections resulted from finite surface densities considered crucially perturbative approaches. also study universal relations between moments inertia, tidal deformabilities, quadrupole moments. Those results ready for various purposes astrophysics, possible constraints contemporary observations on parameter space discussed. Future pulsars' radio signals, X-ray emissions hot spots stars, gravitational waves (GWs) binary mergers can give tighter or even verify falsify existence SSs.

We reanalyse the cell theory of Lennard-Jones and Devonshire and find that in addition to the critical point originally reported for the 12−6 potential (and widely quoted in standard textbooks), the model exhibits a further critical point.
